This course develops your knowledge, skills and abilities as a swimming teacher. It builds on the SEQ Level 1 Swimming Assistant (Teaching) qualification and gives you the skills to independently plan and deliver swimming lessons.

Who is the course designed for?

Anyone who has an SEQ Level 1 Swimming Assistant (Teaching) qualification who wants to become a Swimming Teacher.

Current Course Dates:

This course develops your knowledge, skills and abilities as an assistant swimming teacher. It will enable you to actively support a qualified swimming teacher in the delivery of a planned learn-to-swim session.

Blended Learning is a more flexible approach where you complete the theoretical elements of the course online through interactive activities and checks on learning, prior to the practical workshops.

The online learning will need to complete 72 hrs prior to the first face-to-face date below.

The GUN-eX® Training System offers a superior training experience of battle rope and elastic resistance training. The course covers physiology and includes countless practical tips. Furthermore, you will learn how to motivate and inspire clients, create special classes focusing on sport-specific training and much more. Most of the course is practically oriented.

Become a Lifeguard with the RLSS UK’s National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ)

We run an NPLQ course at Egham Orbit for £250 per person

If you are interested, please ensure you are at least 16 years of age and have the following competencies before you book the course:

• Jump/dive into deep water
• Swim 50 metres in less than 60 seconds
• Swim 100 metres continuously on front and back in deep water
• Tread water for 30 seconds
• Surface dive to the floor of the pool
• Climb out unaided without a ladder/steps and where the pool design permits

A payback scheme is available where Achieve Lifestyle will pay for the course and in return, the candidate will pay back the cost of the course via working hours at Achieve Lifestyle
