We run courses during the school holidays which are open to both swim school members and non-members. These sessions are perfect to experience our swim school before joining the weekly programme, or to fast-track your child’s progress.

Water-Skills Overview
Class overview for Water Skills 1
- Enter water safely.
- Move across the pool, submerge face and blow bubbles.
- Push and glide on the front and back, then return to a standing position.
- Travel at least 5 metres on the back and front.
- Rotate from back to front and return to a standing position, demonstrate a stationary float.
- Propel a floating object (e.g., a ball) for 3 metres by any method.
Class overview for Water skills 2
- Enter water without using the steps.
- Submerge head and blow bubbles underwater.
- Float in a tucked position.
- Swim one width on your front and back using a crawl-type paddle.
- Swim one width on your front or back using breaststroke.
- Float flat or upright.
- Turn or roll 360 degrees without touching the pool bottom.
- Swim two widths without stopping using any stroke.
Class overview for Water Skills 3
- Jump into water at least as deep as you can reach.
- Swim four widths without stopping using any strokes.
- Dive in shallow water and pick up an object from the bottom with both hands.
- Tread water for 20 seconds without standing.
- Swim two widths on your front and with good technique.
- Swim at least 10 meters, changing direction three times without touching the pool sides or bottom.
- Scull head-first for 5 meters.
- Swim through a submerged hoop at shoulder depth.
- Swim continuously for one minute using two different strokes with good style.
Class overview for Water Skills 4&5
- Jump into deep water, tread water and swim 25 meters without touching the pool sides or bottom.
- Perform a surface dive then swim underwater.
- Do a forward and backward somersault, using a push and glide if needed.
- Swim 25 meters of breaststroke, back stroke, front crawl with good technique.
- Swim 5 meters using a dolphin kick.
- Swim one width of butterfly.
- Scull head-first for 5 meters, then scull feet-first back.
- Swim two widths using any stroke and perform a correct turn.
- Swim 5 meters underwater.
- Swim 50 meters in 90 seconds.
