Gymnastics at Egham Orbit

Egham Orbit’s Gymnastics classes are for children aged 2 years and older to help them develop skills including balance, core stability, speed, strength, flexibility and coordination. Gymnastics is a fun and enjoyable class where children can make friends for life.

All Gymnastics sessions take place weekly on a Thursday during term time:

2:15 – 3:00 Lunar Leapers: Parent assisted class for teaching the fundamentals, minimum age is 2.

3:00 – 3:45 Lunar Leapers: Parent assisted class for teaching the fundamentals, minimum age is 2.

3:45 – 4:30 Galaxy Gliders: For beginner gymnasts looking to improve flexibility and balance, our minimum age is 4.

4:30 – 5:15 Nebular Navigators: Building on from the foundations to develop strength and agility, our our minimum age is 4. This class is by invite only but if you feel your child is the right fit, please complete the enquiry form below.

5:15 – 6:00 Planet Pioneers: For more experienced gymnasts looking to refine skills and technique, our age recommendation is 7+. This class is by invite only but if you feel your child is the right fit, please complete the enquiry form below.

As classes are ability based, your child will be assessed in their first few weeks and if necessary, will be given the opportunity to switch to a class better suited to their abilities.

Membership includes 39 weeks of sessions throughout the academic year, all awards, show case events, certificates and uniform!

Each class will be working towards a showcase event which will take place on the last week of term.

Membership prices:

• Lunar Leapers: £27.50 per month (no uniform, awards or showcase events)
• Galaxy Gliders: £36.50 per month
• Nebular Navigators: £36.50 per month
• Planet Pioneers: £36.50 per month

Minimum term is 3 months for new customers.

Where does Gymnastics take place?

Our Gymnastics sessions take place at Egham Orbit in the Sports Arena – click here for centre information and how to find us.

Do you have a uniform?

Each gymnast will receive a leotard and hair piece each academic year (with the exception of those in the Lunar Leapers class). This must be worn for showcase events but is encouraged for training sessions.
No jewellery should be worn and long hair should be tied back.
Lunar Leapers are welcome to wear a leotard to sessions, or shorts and t-shirt.
All gymnasts should be are foot.

Do parents have to stay on-site?

Parents should remain on-site during all sessions in case of any emergencies.
For our Lunar Leapers sessions parents must remain with their children at all times in the class.
For our coached sessions, parents are encouraged to visit Egham Orbit Cafe for a coffee and other drinks & snacks. Or why not treat yourself to a relaxing treatment at Otium Spa or go for a swim?

What happens if a session is missed?

If you miss a session due to holidays/illness/other commitments etc, we cannot offer catch-up sessions or refunds unfortunately. It is advised to consider this before booking a holiday or making other commitments.
In the unlikely event that we are forced to cancel the session for any reason, we will refund your account within 10 working days for any sessions unable to go ahead. We will inform you as soon as possible of the change and you will be notified via your Home Portal.

When are there lesson breaks?

Our Gymnastics coached courses run as a weekly session during term time, running for 39 weeks of the year. We have planned closures in line with the Surrey school holidays. No payments are taken in August.

How do I cancel my course?

You can cancel your membership for Gymnastics courses after your minimum period of contract of 3 full paid months. You must provide notice via completion of our online cancellation form by the 15th of the month requesting cancellation, then your sessions and Direct Debit payments will be cancelled at the end of that month. Cancellation requests received after the 15th of the month will result in your sessions and Direct Debit payments continuing until the end of the following month.
