Having lots of stress in my life for 2 years had resulted into falling into depression at the beginning of 2017. I was at home every day sitting in front of the TV, looking out the window and watching the world go by. I was feeling sorry for myself. I was not really talking to anyone, not even family. I was like this for 10 months. One day I thought: "I need to do something, I need to get my head straight”.


An opportunity arised at the beginning of 2018 when I got a new job and as I was still trying to build myself back up I decided to join a gym. I was told about the possibility of having a personal trainer as well. I took my chance and arranged a consultation with Marta. I explained my goals and gave her a bit of background about myself. I've had personal trainers before but they were focused on one muscle group and I wanted to work on the whole body.



Since I have started, February 2018, Marta has helped me find my feet, as well as muscles I never knew I had. She's explained a great deal about correct technique on exercises and has helped me understand how my body works. Marta has also been very patient when teaching me about nutrition. It's been a massive game changer for me! I've learned how to feed my body for my goals and began to enjoy cooking my meals. I think the results show for themselves in my transformation photos. I've lost 11kg and I'm feeling bigger, better and stronger! I'm now deadlifting 140kg (over 1.5 times my bodyweight) for reps with perfect technique! I'm very proud of this achievement!


Marta has also managed to change my mindset completely from negative to positive. I look forward to training and smashing my goals that I and Marta have set. One of the goals that I continue to uphold is eating healthy, no takeaway junk food and have a lot more protein foods. I intend to continue to go to the gym three times a week and keep a positive mental attitude.
