What Is Spinning®?

In 1991, John Baudhuin and Johnny Goldberg created Spinning® by uniting indoor stationary bikes with a true cycling experience. 25 years later, there are millions of riders worldwide and it has become arguably the most popular group exercise trend - both addictive and effective!

With world-class education providing highly qualified instructors, teamed with amazing music and state-of the-art-equipment, this programme is truly a workout like no other! Join the worldwide community of Spinners!

What To Expect From Your First Spinning® Class

Do:

  • Let the instructor know that it's your first class
  • Wear appropriate fitness wear and comfortable sports trainers
  • Bring water and stay hydrated throughout
  • Bring a sweat towel
  • Take it at your own pace

Don't:

  • Worry! Everyone once had their first class and was a beginner - before you know it you'll be spinning like a pro!
  • Feel like you have to keep up with the front row - start at a low intensity if you need to and then build up
  • Be afraid to ask for help or let the instructor know if you feel like you need to stop
  • Take a spinning class if you feel unwell, or if you have any health concerns that may mean it is dangerous to do so. Always speak to your doctor and the instructor prior to the class if you have any concerns.

Getting Started

Setting Up Your Bike

We recommend to arrive at least 15 minutes early if you are new to Spinning. For your first class, you may need assistance setting up your bike but don't worry, our friendly instructors will be more than happy to show you how to adjust your bike for a comfortable and safe ride. Our official bikes are designed to fit all shapes, sizes and abilities. The bikes allow you to tailor your saddle and handlebar positions to create the perfect fit. With the proper bike setup, you reap the full benefits of the Spinning movements and minimise the risk of injury.

Why Are Our Classes Unique?

As the original indoor cycling program, the Spinning program simulates real cycling terrain, conditions and techniques. We value the fact that our centre runs official Spinning classes and all of our instructors are qualified as official spinning instructors. We wouldn’t do anything in the studio that we wouldn’t do on a road bike - this is where we differ from other indoor cycling classes.

We use five core movements and three hand positions that make real cycling sense.
